AGL May Flow Commercial CSG from Queensland Pilot
Australia’s AGL is expected to flow commercial gas from its production pilot in Queensland's Galilee Basin within the next six months. The company has been operating a five-well pilot on a grazing property north of Ilfracombe, south-east of Longreach, for the past two years.
AGL has been working through some challenges at the site but is getting closer to a production stage, ABC News said quoting company’s spokesman Andrew Falkner. He said that the whole basin is not highly productive but AGL’s area of operation has good potential.
"The gas content is there, we need to find ways of dealing with the water, so we need to find a cost-effective way of bringing the gas to the surface,' he added.
