Acteon bags Philippines LNG terminal work

UK-based service company Acteon has secured an integrated project with AG&P for the development of an LNG import and regasification terminal in Batangas Bay, the Philippines, it said on August 3.

The contract was signed and will be managed by the Acteon Integrated Solutions (AIS) team. The project scope for AIS includes the local transportation and installation of jacket structures to form the LNG berth. These structures will vary across the construction site and will include approach trestles, mooring and berthing dolphins, and associated furniture such as walkways, fenders and mooring hooks, Acteon said.

The AIS team will be responsible for the full construction of the jetty and all the marine works, except anything to do with the transportation of the LNG product.

Singapore-based AG&P was issued the notice to proceed by the Philippines’ department of energy to build its LNG import terminal in Batangas Bay in March this year. The project, called Philippines LNG, will have the initial capacity to deliver up to 3mn metric tons/year of regasified LNG, with additional capacity for liquid distribution. The terminal will also have a scalable onshore regasification capacity of 420mn ft3/day and almost 200,000 m3 of storage.
